LVMAC Tidbit: VA Ups Its COVID Status

On 23 May, the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Health Administration (VHA) notified the public about its three, new operational levels, called VHA COVID-19 Health Protection Levels, intended to provide a consistent, nationwide approach at its medical centers.  It wants to ensure the safety of all using their facilities during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic — which has not gone away by any stretch of the imagination if you having following the reports. LVMAC News: Battle Borne Explains Why It Exists and What it Does

Presented by Chris Yarnell, President of Battle Borne on 18 May 2022 at the council meeting.  It came about as a result of need, and is now an example of government-community partnership to a concrete purpose at the ground floor level.  Recovery requires more than chatter; families have needs also; connecting veterans and their families to resources requires warm hand-off. LVMAC News: Are You the One?

The Council is seeking a special individual who cares about others to help operate its Scholarship Program.  It is a rewarding task, and not burdensome, either.  Does require an organized mind and leadership skills because you are working in a volunteer team environment.  Teachers, administrators, and retired military professionals have found it worthwhile endeavor, but those qualifications are not absolutely necessary.
