NCC Lecture, War In Iraq and the Battle in Hollywood, 11Mar2014During the this year, Northampton Community College will be exploring the  topic “Off to War and Coming Home: Historical perspectives on Military Veterans During and After Their Service, 1946-Present” through a series of discussions, and presentations made possible by a grant form the National Endowment for the Humanities matched by generous donors.

One event of note, particularly relevant to the current war — and the first in the series — is The Best Seven Months of Our Lives: The War in Iraq and the Battle in Hollywood  to be presented by Colonel John C. Church, Jr., an Assistant Professor of English & Communications at Immaculata University.  It is open to the public at no charge and will occur between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on 11 March at the college’s main  campus  in the College Center Building’s Room 220.
