LVMAC Tidbit — The Cold Weather Season Has Arrived for Street Veterans

Published by LVMAC on

It is that time of year again when temperatures are getting cold again. Temperatures are predicted to be slightly below 32 degrees overnight throughout the next couple of days and into the weekend.

I have spoken with both Shelter Directors (Salvation Army and Allentown Rescue Mission) who have agreed to go into a Cold (Blue) Weather Alert when it reaches below 32 degrees. So, starting tonight, we are announcing a Cold Weather Alert for Lehigh County. I have attached the current Cold Weather Resource Guide. Please distribute to providers and clients as necessary. Please call me directly if you have any questions.

Please remember that if the temperature stays above 32, then cold weather alert is no longer active.
