Forward Observer — Victory House Seeks Community Foundation Grant Also

Published by LVMAC on

LVMAC Poster Art 2005You may find this strange at a time when we are also seeking a Lehigh Valley Community Foundation Grant,  but we wish you to know that Victory House does exceptionally fine service for our veterans who need extra help in getting back on track.  They are a valued partner in our homelessness initiative.

Indeed, except for CACLV, all the finalists for a Lehigh Valley Community Foundation grant are member organizations in LVMAC.  We support or form efforts addressing a range of needs that define a supportive community.  Our membership reflects the gamut of our interests.  Therefore, we do not like the appearance of competing with our member partners, for this is not our intent.  For us, at this time, it is more about promoting a good effort on the part of  the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation to become engaged in assisting our military and veterans community.  Accordingly, we openly publish this request from Victory House:

Dear Victory House of Lehigh Valley Partners,

The Lehigh Valley Community Foundation (LVCF) has chosen Victory House,  a Veterans Service Organization,  as a finalist among several other non- profits organizations for a grant that will help our graduating veterans continue to be healthy and prevent them from relapsing back into homelessness.

Lehigh Valley Community Foundation is celebrating 50 years of providing support in our community through their “Be The Spark” grants. The link below has a short video for you to review and VOTE for Victory House to continue the mission!

Please share this information and link to friends, family and other partners who believe homeless veterans need every resource available to them.

The voting period will begin Monday, November 6, at 12 a.m. and end at midnight on Friday, November 17.

You can vote once per day from November 6th through the 17th at the link below as well as on face book for Victory House. Voters can view and vote on the videos on the LVCF website and the LVCF Facebook page.
