For some reason, the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is offering the opportunity to apply for a Veterans Trust Fund state grant for a second time this year. The first period ended around 19 January, which is traditional. Again, not much time to react: applications must be in by 1 June at 2 p.m. (more…)
We just received word that the period for submitting a grant application to the Veterans’ Trust Fund this from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. A Governor’s press release is undoubtedly forthcoming, but considering the short deadline, looking at the deadline, we decided not to wait and are spreading the word now. The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) announced today the opening of its fiscal year 2018-19 Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF) grant cycle.
A combined total of $800,000 in grant funding is available for the 2018-19 grant cycle: 1) $650,000 for grants of up to $50,000 to veterans’ service organizations (VSOs) with 501(c)(19) status and nonprofit organizations with a mission of serving Pennsylvania veterans granted 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Code. On 12 March 2018, Governor Tom Wolf announced that 13 Pennsylvania county veterans’ affairs offices and 18 nonprofit organizations will receive in grants from the Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF), which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). (more…)
