LVMAC Tidbit — Racing for Recovery™ to Speak at Victory House Event

Published by LVMAC on

Racing for Recovery’s motivational speaker, Todd Crandall, is coming to Bethlehem at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity on evening of 18 September. This may be of interest to some of our comrades or their families who have suffered the effects of  alcohol/drug abuse or addiction. Using sports activity as a vehicle to recovery has taken hold of late in the current war veterans population.

According to its website, the Department of Health and Human Services claims “an estimated 22 million American’s are classified with [one form or another of] substance dependance or abuse…” Racing for Recovery’s™ mission is to prevent all forms of substance abuse by promoting a lifestyle of fitness and health for all those affected by addiction. A number of services are provided to accomplish this (counseling, speaking, support groups, interventions, court ordered assessments and its original origin of endurance racing called Team Racing for Recovery™).  For more about the organization to to its website.

For more information see the flyer posted to our facebook site.
