LVMAC Tidbit: There’s a New Veterans Scholarship in Town

A new foundation, the Andrew Budraitis Foundation, recently established under the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation, is offering two scholarships of $7,500, one of which is meant for a worthy military veteran.  The deadline for application is April 30, 2022.

The ground rules are:

  • The scholarship will be awarded to a military veteran who plans to attend a two or four-year post-secondary institution in the Lehigh Valley.  It is the intention to award one scholarship of $7,500 annually.
  • The applicant served in the active military, naval, air, or space service and was discharged or released with an Honorable Discharge or General Discharge Under Honorable Conditions.
  • The applicant intends to major in or study a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field.
  • Priority is given to applicants who demonstrate financial need.
