LVMAC Tidbit — Woodlawn Memorial Park Sponsors “Veterans Lunch in the Park”
Special Flag Day Celebration
On Flag Day, 14 June, between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1500 Airport Road, Allentown (opposite the shopping mall with Redner’s) is holding a lunch to honor and appreciate veterans and their families for their service and sacrifices. There is no charge for the event and no registration is required.
Each family will also receive a carnation and a goodie bag with red white and blue tootsie rolls, red white and blue mints and patriotic cookies. Bumper stickers, patriotic buttons, flags as well as other patriotic keepsakes will also be available.
It’s not a sales pitch, just a Flag Day celebration – tables with food, drinks, desserts, momentoes … on a nice, sunny day … Lehigh Valley style … above ground.
